Wednesday Weigh In

Today I weigh - 173.2 ! Down 1.2 pounds from last week!

I checked the scale before the Little Little One's middle of the night feeding and it only showed a .8 loss. So I decided to weigh myself at the exact same time I did last week after being up at my regular time, and wouldn't you know it, I was down even more! My morning coffee moved things along, I guess. And, yes, I'm counting the lower number! YAHOO!

I now have my short term goals set - and for good reason. We are having professional photographs taken next month and I'm dying to look better in them. I am ashamed to admit that I have been avoiding being in any pictures with my beautiful kids because I don't want there to be a photographic record of what I look like right now. I still have pictures of the old Fat Leah and I want to vomit every time I see them.

So, my Short Term Weight Loss Goals are as follows and are starting from 173.2 :
  1. Lose 8 pounds by November 30th (picture day) for a weight of 165
  2. Lose 20 pounds by December 25th for a weight of 153 (#2 pre-pregnancy weight)
  3. Lose 23 pounds by January 30th for a weight of 150 (#1 pre-pregnancy weight)

The next month will really be a challenge because we are traveling home to Detroit and I always manage to gain weight when I go since I miss all of my favorite foods like Greek Salads, Coney Dogs, Buddy's Pizza, Gyros...you know, all the really tasty and not good for you stuff! So, we'll see how I can handle it. Flex Points will be used to their full extent. I may even have to find a way to work out so I can get in some of my favorite foods!

Tonight I'm making a plain ol' turkey burger dinner with 2 point buns and green beans. Nothing fancy since I am using what's left of my freezer before payday tomorrow. Plus, The Patient (aka The Husband) can't eat anything but soft foods, so he'll be happy for something besides yogurt and pudding.

Way to go!

Great goals! I made goals a while back that I didn't reach, but now that I'm back on track, I need to get some going again. Thanks for the kick in the butt.
