Milestone...

Saturday is my official new weigh in day for Weight Watchers and I'm excited to announce that I've hit a whole new milestone!! Today I weigh in at 159.6!!! I lost 5.2 pounds this week!!

I contribute much of that loss to the fact that my monthly friend came back to visit for the first time since November 2007, and I'm nursing a little less now that Little Miss has been eating 2 meals of solid food per day. I can't figure out why else I could ever lose that much over the course of a few days.

I cannot believe I'm back into the 150's and I'm only 6.6 pounds from my goal. I've lost 15 pounds since I started this journey back in late-October. I even fit back into a pair of pre-Little Miss pregnancy jeans today, which felt incredible!

Now, if I could only get a solid night's sleep, I might be back to my old self.

Today we checked out another gym in town, which was totally fabulous. Luxury at every turn. Brand new weight machines, cardio machines with personal cable TV on each one, saunas in the locker room, and a room dedicated to treadmills and elliptical in front of a projection TV with a movie playing. It would be totally worth the money but I can't justify $30 a month right now, so I'll have to figure something else out.

Do you think luxury gyms are worth the money you pay for them?

Go Leah!! Good for you!

As far as the "luxury" gyms? If they have responsible childcare and it gives you a chance to have time for you, I would consider it an investment. I know all too well that being stuck at home all the time and not getting a moment to yourself, or to take care of yourself, is counterproductive. If that $30 includes childcare, I would think it worth it. You can hardly get a babysitter for a few hours for that price so that you can have some adult time. If it DOESN'T include childcare (responsible childcare, that is) then it depends on how much you want to work out, and what time that might take away from your family if you have to wait until hubby gets home. haha, it still may be worth it though!

(Oh, and I have a hard time thinking you wouldn't have fun on a bike.. ;) )
